Girl Talk is an event that currently happens twice a month, once in Chicago and recently once in Dallas. It’s an amazing experience where women come together in cities throughout the U.S to start conversations around our fears, setbacks, our past and how we can move past the pain of our issues and take steps towards our destiny. We come together in intimate settings of no more then 25 women: to build safety and support for one another, to realize you are not alone as you become a part of a community of growing women, building healthy relationships with yourself and others as we learn and grow together. Girl Talk is about community and having a good time but it is first and foremost for you to look at the things that may be difficult for you to face and take some steps towards change and a better life.

Girl Talk came about as I was doing some personal development for myself. I began to identify that the work behind the chair as a stylist and coaching  was not enough and this was a season of giving more of myself. After all, life is short and I want to do all that I can before my time in the earth is up. I desire to make a positive impact on as many people as I can. I am grateful for my best friend Tapeka Tolbert for believing the dream God gave me and her willingness to support through sharing me with others because of the different ways God allowed me to be a part of her growth and development process. I am grateful also to say that she was the catalyst for Girl Talk coming to life. She alone has hosted Girl Talk in Chicago every month from March 2017 to date at her salon called “Hair Forte” and I am so grateful because it compelled me to answer the request of my Dallas Sisters and I hosted the first one in Dallas, September 2017.
